J Meezy - 95 Express

Since his debut in 2001, J-Meezy has begun his journey to put Providence, RI on the Hip-Hop map. Born and raised on the South Side of Providence, J-Meezy (aka Joetta’s only son) has emerged as a rising star in the Rhode Island and Southern New England Hip-Hop Community. J-Meezy describes his style as "relaxed smooth, crunk, direction, and/or raw” and considers Hip Hop greats such as Big Daddy Kane, Cool C, TI, Outkast, Pastor Troy, UGK, Cool G Rap, Mase, Jay Z, 2Pac, Mary J Blige and DJ Franchise to have influenced his style of music and decision to pursue his passion in Hip-Hop.

J-Meezy has numerous well received singles such as, "Like Me", "95 Express", "Fly Kix Sidekicks", "Hip Hop", "I’m a Hustla" and "Da Hood Luvs Me". J-Meezy has also collaborated with local artists and producers such as Souljahboy Ent., Team Franchise, and the Big Dude Crew, J-Meezy has released four mix tapes: "Hood Chronicles Vol 1" and "South Side Soldier W/ Flushill Ties", "401 Certified", and most recently "Providence's Most Wanted".   read more
